i assumed my gearbox was fecked as it grinds from 2nd to 3rd under hard acceleration but after reading this decided to try a powerflex dog bone bush.best £16+vat iv spent,took 10mins to fit and grind has totaly gone nomatter how hard i drive and change gear!well worth doing if you have this problem!
they both bolt straight on but the s3 has wider arches so the bumpers dont quite line up when put on an a3!they only stick out bout 2-3mm tho.you dont notice unless you no its there!
anyone no of a website were i will be able to view a workshop manual?
or does any one no on the rear diff of an s3 should the 6 bolt flange pull out of the diff,or should there be a c-clip holding it in?thanks.matt.

i found out that post facelift mirrors dont fit the pre facelift cars the expensive way!so if anyone wants the genuine alu mirror housings for there post facelift let me no.
its your money mate so its totaly up to you what you do with it but i only paid 4800 for mine on a 2000 x-reg and its in mint condition and never been in a crash!

i had this on my 2000 s3 (abs and traction light) came on as and when it wanted to for no reason.on mine it was the longitudual g-force sensor up the wall.to get to it take out the glove box and its just a realay up in the top left corner (near the airvent) cost me 110pound for a new one tho...
not sure how try but iv been told by more than one person that atmospheric DV on a 20vt engine will burn out the valves on number 4 cylinder due to unburnt fuel!
you can get it with a quarter inch ratchet,10mm socket and long wobble extension bar but its not easy!watch out for the dipstick tube they go brittle and snap realy easyly!i changed one on my a3 and snaped it so had to wait two days for audi to get me one before i could use the car.then done one...
