Nope afraid not... I could afford £1200 max to do it but pipecraft wanted to much £££ for the front end of the system to be fabricated with a pair of 200 cell cats. Ended up being just under £1800 for the full swap with all the bits needed, just haven't got the cash like that at the moment...

Wish so much my budget would stretch to the V8 but the exhaust place blew my budget out of the water and it was all going so smoothly. Keep up the good work, really want to see this running soon!! :icon_thumright:

Its the standard audi spacer plate between the box and the block for the 1.8T prob around 1.5mm thick IIRC. The clutch works very well and has no chatter or problems engaging / disengaging.

Ohhh crap, i have just installed my SM flywheel and retained the spacer plate :uhm: will having it on damage my new clutch? or should i take it off ASAP?

Spot on :beerchug: loving the work... just had my engine apart. Isnt there a spacer plate that sits between the box and the block on manual cars?

Nice choice im not overly keen on the ally ones either, you need a bit of rotational mass behind these engines IMO. So it will take OE equipment thats a good idea to... do you think that the RS4 clutch can take the abuse you are going to put through it?

What is it made out of and what clutch is it made for to run?? Seems a shame to hide something like that away it looks so good :o.k:

Hmm interesting manifolds, they look quite easy to modify for a turbo manifold, out of interest what size blowers will fit in the confined space between the block and the inner wings it looks tight!!

Nice one Siena, hope it all comes together smoothly. I have PM'd you the wheel place you asked about. Last part of the turbo jigsaw fell in place for my RS4 rep today. Should have it back on the road in 2 weeks now :)
