early facelifts with tech pack had the signal booster and the signal booster was replaced with wireless charging towards the end of the c7 life. If I remember right the ones with CarPlay had wireless charging and ones without had signal booster.
I remember one the techs said Audi couldn’t get...
I had the 272 Quattro and on long runs I was getting 55mpg+ And on rare occasions it did show 60mpg. All depends on cruising speeds, at 60mph it will easily get 55-60mpg, at 70mph 55mpg and at 80mph it was around 45mpg.
I had the 2.0 190 fwd before the 272 and fuel consumption was about the...
Everything you buy has planned obsolescence.
phones, fridges, washing machine, tv. Only way manufacturer makes money is if you buy more stuff from them. Cars are no different
It should be the one with the SIM card and 2 sdcard slots.
if you are looking for the one with Audi connect it needs to have tech pack or tech pack advance. Another tell tale is the dis between the Rev meter and Speedo. It should have a colour display not black and white. Maps can be shown...
Maybe get that done early.
I had the 272 c7 which is almost same car. I had some weird whine while under warranty with only 24k and they changed the oil in the gearbox and it went away. Sold the car by 40k so not sure if it lasted.
recently had my s3 dsg serviced at 30k and it’s so much...
thats quite poor. I’ve had 2 sets recently from my local kwikfit and both times they had the tyres and ready to go on the pre booked appointment time. No faffing about.
If you are doing mainly town/city driving it’s not bad. Long journeys should see a lot more.
forgot to say both mine were auto/stronic which is meant to be better than manual for economy.
also Not sure if it affects the 2017 cars but I know a few folk with the 2.0 and they got the dieselgate...
I had a 2014 190ps 2.0 tdi fwd and that could easily get 50mpg on a good run then got a 2015 3.0 272ps Quattro and managed 40+mpg most of the time, long runs got me 50 ish mpg.
I had a 272 a6 which I did 60k+ and it didn’t do that. As far as I know it’s the same box as the older 245.
could be just a recalibration or dirty oil as these have wet clutches. Other than that that’s when things get expensive, mechatronics, clutch packs etc.
is there a way you can check if...
If it’s the same as the facelift the box can handle 500nm of torque and that’s what it comes out the factory with. If engine has been mapped and gearbox hasn’t it could cause problems as any remaps or chips will bump it up well beyond the 500nm
I would try resetting/calibration of the box and a service before pulling it apart as that’s expensive.
I’ve seen taxis/private hire cars with 200k+ With dsg boxes and no issues.
I had something similar with my last c7 when I parked at work. Some interference was causing it but it worked everywhere else. I blamed the mobile mast in the car park
