I contacted the garage today and told them I will pick the car up and try and do the work myself and told them how I intended to do it. They replied with "sorry mate, but that wont work because your connectors are burnt" .... does this sound like a problem which...

I recently took my car into a local garage as the clutch was slipping and have been quoted £1200 (inc VAT) to replace the clutch and flywheel. I know its a pretty major job, but ... this seems a little excessive to me!
