Mould in fuel filler flap area

Tried an APC of any kind? Something with grunt, like koch chemie or bilt hamber surfex HD. A citrus cleaner with actual Limonene in the ingredients historically has good cleaning strength, too.

    APC Recommendations for Ceramic Coating

SurfexHD has corrosion inhibitors in it, which would reduce the hydrophobic properties of the coating to a small degree. I would personally recommend Koch Chemie Green Star; it's cost effective, available in bulk and is safe and effective. It has no inhibitors present. I put 100ml of it in my...

    Anyone used/own one of these?

On a coated car, particularly products with very high slickness and hydrophobic properties, you can air dry the car with the big boi blower. However, unless you've got a DI vessel or similar water filtration system going, the air + heat combo means any water droplets that dry as they're being...

    Headlamp advice please.

I'm curious as to what autoglym stuff they used? You'd potentially be needing a more abrassive compound to get some heavy cutting going on, finished off with a finish polish to refine the finish. If that's not enough, you'd be looking at doing multiple-grit-stages of wet sand paper, followed by...

    Worn alcantara on steering wheel

+1 for Pol Star. 1:20 would be plenty. That's a backbone product for me. Not personally dealt with alcantara as of yet, so seeing how someone else sees best fit to approach the material is appreciated. Thanks.

    Sunscreen finger marks

A clay bar does have micro abrasives in it and would probably work to get it off pretty well. For an Audi S3 interior I recently did, I used Koch Chemie Pol Star, which works to remove sunscreen marks on leather and fabric. Koch Chemie Green Star (an APC), starting at 1:20, should be sufficient...

What Car Care / Detailing Have You Done Today ?

I had a great chance to work on the interior of an Audi S3 today, while the exterior is potentially later in the coming months. I've not sat in this new of an audi since owning an 07' A5 B8, but the quality of the materials and the feel of the interior really is awesome. I did poke around a bit...

Protector for rubber seals and rubber trim

I recommend CarPro CQUARTZ DLUX, which is a protective coating designed for plastic and rubber. It lasts up to one year, provides strong UV protection, is resistant to very high temperatures, doesn't break the bank, making it an ideal "apply and forget" kind of coating. Make sure the plastics...

    Waterless car cleaning

It does sound like a great time saver, as the drying does add to it. It took less than an hour to do my whole car and rims, all at a leisurely pace, so i'm very happy with that. If I had my own detailing shop or had a handful of clients daily, the di vessel would be my next natural progression.

    Waterless car cleaning

Today I decided to use ONR on my own personal work horse car, which has been not long ago waxed with AutoGlym UHD. The car is what I use to transport my equipment to customers and is also my daily. The car was lightly soiled, but the bird muck.. my goodness. With that said, i'd rather the poop...

    Stage 1 polish

That looks amazing. 5 hours for a stage 1 is about how long it took me to do an E46 3 Series BMW, with a full wash, iron fallout removal and clay bar taking an additional 4 hours before hand. Saying that, I think I need to start upping my prices..

    What Polisher Do You Use?

Likewise! That's one of the best combinations of two tools i've ever heard about. Mental note made. I've managed well with the halfords dual action polisher, as it has been reliable and friendly to use. With a user-variable RPM, it can certainly spin quick, and is mains powered - no running out...

    Waterless car cleaning

If you're going to go down the waterless wash and wax route for a forseeable amount of time, you may as well get a solution that comes concentrated. You can then use the water you do have use of to create a diluted solution, that will go much further. Using off the shelf waterless wash and wax...

    A6 dash scuff repair

I can't think of any way of repairing interior trim that has cuts or gauges in it. Almost all interior plastics are texturised, so it's not like you can wet sand it, fill it and respray that area. I'd like to know if someone does know a way.

    What protection for Alacantara.

Koch Chemie Pol Star is also a good choice for Alcantara, while also leaving it protected.
