Just thought I'd update this thread in case anyone has the same problem Replaced the fuel pump relay, no change Replaced the crankshaft sensor, everything seems to be good now! Done about 30 starts since I replaced the sensor and none have failed or taken longer than usual. Thanks guys!

Thanks for the advice. I saw a specialist and he said it sounds like the 3rd gear clutch isn't engaging from 2nd and disengaging from 3rd, when going to 4th so that's gonna be a big job. Going to get the fluid and filter changed on Friday so hopefully it helps
