The problem is with the propshaft not drive shafts, I've had the car on a ramp and have found a bolt with damaged thread which is loose, it looks like the doughnut has twisted and now causing the prop to spin off centre

my Audi keeps eating propshafts can't understand why, there is a creacking noise coming from the car from behind the engine but as can be case noises can try has anyone had this issue or know what could be causing this problem Cheers

I'm replacing the prop shaft because I have found that the cv joint that joins the two halfs of the prop shaft together has gone pop and needs replacing as well at the rubber donut which holds the shaft on under the car has gone too, to buy these parts new from TPS and rebuild the current shaft...

I currently have this issue and Audi diagnosed it to be the idle control valve sticking they said that it isn't an urgent job and will be fine and shouldn't get worse but did tell me that it would be a £1150 job with £495 being the price of the parts to do the job
