See the mesh bit on the left that's the bit right after the pollen filter so if the filter was wet I would put money on it that the gate bit got wet to.
I have only done it on a golf when the heater matrix blew and soaked the inside of the car but getting it through the glove box should be fine if you look right over on the left hand side there should be a white or black box with a cross hatch pattern on it I will have a look for a pic for ya.
That was next on my list as the Lexus ones are crap the paint is peeling off them so I am shopping around for a new set but on the up side I did manage to get some money off because of them so every cloud.
I would check it the foam is really thick as it has to seal the box when diverting the air to the foot well its a bit like the lining under the carpet if it gets wet its like a sponge and will take ages to dry if left so worth a look.
Got the Lexus for the family as my misses moaned about having to lean in the Audi to put the little one in the back and it did look like a clown car when we had our 2 American bulldogs in the boot to take them out looked like I had lowered the car. I realy would like to keep it and turn it in to...
Well when I whent on Ross tech site to see how to do mine after I cleaned it it said something along the lines of if the throttle is a wire cable then a alignment is not needed as it is not ecu controlled or something like that I think because its a manual throttle not a digital one it is pre...
You would have to do a alignment after you clean it either way unless you have the wire throttle cable if you do a search on here you will find a ton of posts on throttle alignments.
So here it is picked it up on Saturday I had the dealership do some bits on her as There was a few things I went happy with but after driving it for a few days I'm happy with it but I did jump in my Audi tonight and go for a little spin and came home with a big grin on my face. Be sad to see it go
It is safe but I would take it off the car to clean because if it has loads of crap in it and you blow it through it will then sit in your inlet manifold plus if its off the car you can clean it better do both sides of the butterfly.
You might of soaked the foam backed flap that dirverts the air around the car I think it works as a filter of some sort to if you have a manual heating system where you twist the knob to get screen , footwell , dash vents you should be able to hear the little flap opening and closing when you...
Get another door off eBay or from a scrap yard save your self some money a used door would cost about 40 quid and all you would have to do is transfer all the bits off yours to the new one.
I would take it back and say there taking the **** and that the shody drive shaft has caused damage to your car and get a freebe my local eurocarparts know me and I have taken stuff back to them and been refunded or exchanged.
Did you fit a uprated release bearing and bleed the system properly I had the same sort of problem when I fitted my uprated clutch with a standard release bearing turned out that the car shredded the bearing I was getting alot of vibration when pressing the clutch peddal but I was lucky as I...
