Well update on this, after having the EGR cooler replaced I thought it was still using water but I think it was just settling as it has not used any since! So happy Days!

Cheers for the reply mate the EGR cooler has now been replaced it is still going down a little bit but hoping that's it setting so have filled it back up, did you have any milky oil etc?

Hi lads, got a 07 3.0tdi sport manual, and the DPF light is coming on not all the time but frequent , looking at getting it took out gutted and back in, and a map, anyone else done this? and what results did you get? Sound wise, performance wise? I just see it as getting rid of a trouble maker...

Matty what's your car like with it off? Any noticeable difference? I'm getting the DPF light on mind and thinking of just getting rid of the DPF
