I'm a bit of a vcds noob, I have fitted cruise control so have a bit of an idea how to use it, but don't know where I am looking to find the version code!

I am thinking of retrofitting parking sensors, but have been told I require canbus gateway version AD or higher. How do I find out what version I currently have? My car is a 62 plate 8p S3.

Ah, no - no noise from mine, no fault warning lights, just traction control light flashing all the time and wheelspin everywhere!

I used this place too, highly recommend them! Not too bad of a job to do yourself if you have vcds.

Hmmmmm.... after reading through that they don't look too bad, definitely a lot less work! cobra flush mount need a 17mm hole, anyone know what diameter the factory fitted ones are?

I just prefer the look of the flush factory kit over the cobra, and was also thinking of possibly sorting out the optical display on the rns-e too.

Maybe not much help.... but a new unpainted rear bumper direct from audi is about £340 plus delivery. (priced one up last week) Front would possibly be a similar price.... maybe??

Awesome, thanks for that samuelh_888! Good starting point for me, plenty of info. Only problem I've spotted so far at a quick glance is that the sensor retainers don't have a part number, guessing they must be bonded to the bumper at production?

I've had a search around, but can't really find much info on fitting genuine audi parking sensors, most of the posts are about the audi branded cobra kit. Wondering if anyone has fitted the factory spec flush sensors/module etc and has a list of part numbers I'd need and any advice on how/where...

though I would update this... Bought another cable off ebay, a genuine audi one this time (only £4), it now works! Still have the annoying problem of albums getting arranged into alphabetical order rather than the order they are originally, if anyone knows how to sort this out please tell me!

I have been offer a genuine Ross-Tech cable at a good price, obviously they are useful for scanning faults or coding parts in, but was just wondering if there are any (useful) adjustments you can make to your standard car with it? I have a 62 plate S3.

I gave mine a poke through with pin and blew it out with my air line.

Top-tip for anyone with a blocked rear washer jet like I had, and also had on my last S3. Just spent about 30 mins removing the inner boot hatch trim to get to the washer pipe so I could blow the jet out only to find I didn't need to. If you remove the outside cap on the end of the wiper arm...
