I've been looking for a better than stock exhausts for my 2012 A5 coupe. I've heard that aftermarket exhausts will kill my mileage. Any truth to this?

I have a 2012 A5 Quattro. The original tires were Goodyear. I purchased the car in 2012 and the original tires showed extreme cupping which I attributed to not being rotated on regular basis.
I purchased Hankook S1 Noble 2 replacement tires about a year ago. In less than 20K miles these tires...
So I look at this way...You make a change ever so slightly changes everything. If you wait to see uneven tire wear it may be too late to correct and then you need new tires. So new tires are not cheap and the cost of an alignment would end up having better and longer tire wear. But it's your choice.
I noted that a dealer usually isn't very good at following wheel lug torque specs. In their case the impact gun rules. I've already challenged two dealerships about their impact guns. Hook'em up, turn the adjustment to max and go! If you ever get a flat on the road good luck getting the wheel...
