After a lot of pulling it finally came off! Got them sanded down and the vinyl on. On one of them the two clips bent out of shape so shape so it didn't go back in flush with the back window but a quick tinkering sorted that out. Really happy with how they turned out, I'll get a post up soon...

What Coilovers did you end up getting?

I think I understand, so you've got to push towards the rear a little bit so the 'hooks' can get enough clearance to be able to pull them forward, towards the front, thus removing the pillar? Mate your a massive help so cheers

A bit off topic mate but what size tire are you using? I've the same alloys so I'm torn between 215/225/235! They're 8.5j 45et and 18" On topic I like your ride height so I'll be looking into them, can you feel the road more with coils on?

Planning on doing that, I've got the vinyl wrap waiting! Just can't get them off, I've drilled out the rivets but I can't get them off. Does it take a good bit of pulling? Afraid of breaking them

Gutted man!

Just had it confirmed by DT that it's only avaiable in 55mm strut diameter for sport back models only. No 55mm strut for 3doors

So after a bit of research it seems I have 55mm strut diameter given it's a 2005 2.0litre TDI Sport. I guess this means i'm out of what seems like an unbelievable deal :(

How can you find out your strut diameter and front axle load? Had a look through my manual and can't find one thing…

Ahh sorry guys my bad might get these then! How much will these lower a sport then? 20mm... Sorry I'm not fully clued up when it comes to suspension heights for different models

It says they're for the sport back only! At this rate my 3door sport will never be lowered!
