Been so out of the loop with your build mate, what kind of power you running now?
Just gone Stage 2+ on my S3 this week, made 360 bhp and 370 ftlb. Really chuffed with the performance. Next would be a bigger turbo but that's lightyears away from happening at this point :P
It was £155 for the wheel fitted and £25 for the gaiter retrim (its easy to remove/fit). I like 40min from Jack so just drove down there instead of messing around with postage.
At last, Jack has very kindly managed to fit me in for a fitting over the weekend despite his back issues and I am very happy with the results! The drive back felt like a completely new car! Here are some quick snaps I took, will get a proper camera and get some better ones
I'm sure he can. I'm getting my gear gaitor done in alcantara as well.
UPDATE: My retrim has been delayed as Jack is unwell at this time, so waiting to hear back.
I went for alacantra top and bottom and on the sides I've asked for perforated leather. I do like the feel of alacantra but as you said its a lot more maintenance to keep it looking nice and as I mainly drive holding the sides I shouldn't be using it as much, if that makes sense.
Also gave him...
Just booked myself in to get my steering wheel retrimmed with Jack @ Royal Steering Wheels (http://royalsteeringwheels.com/) in couple of weeks. Will post pictures once done and fitted :D
Not done anything on the car for ages so quite exciting about getting something new :)
So the inevitable has happened and one of my rear springs has snapped off a bit. I can either replace just the 2 rear springs with OEM and be done with it but as soon as I mentioned it to some of the guys in my club everyone is telling me to drop it.
I promised myself I wasn't going to mess...
Last weekend finally managed to fit the radiator after putting up with a small leak for around 2 months.
Started at around 7:05 in the morning and by half past we got to this stage
Then by around 8 it was in bits properly :P
By 10:00 it was all back together and I also took this...
Oh ye, damn, good point. Most likely wouldn't fit. Good luck with whatever you decide to do :)
Personally I would see if anyone within the "modified scene" would buy it as it is. If you get no luck put it back to normal and then try sell it as standard or trade it in for the RS3.
Myself and @bonifacy87 were planning to leave from High Wycombe around 7:15 but I'll leave it up to him to sort out where and what time we meet you guys.
