Cheers @Stevemwhitaker.
I had abit of back n forth with Xtrons, n they pretty much said if you have the PBX model you're on your own, they only have a fix for the IB & IN models. Sounds like a violation of the sale of goods act if the product is not fit for purpose, but I am not sure how valid...
Soooooo... I got a response from xtrons, but they say the updated harness is only applicable to Audi units with serial numbers IB or IN.
My thinking though is, if they have recognised that there is an interference issue and have modified some harnesses, surely they should provide a solution to...
Ok. I will have to check the car later to see what end the pre-amps are on as I have a full Bose setup in the vehicle, and it looks like the speaker cable needs to be hardwired.
Thanks for the response/info :)
I seeeee....and they sent you the thing in the picture in post #55?
I will throw a hail mary n see if they play nicely with me after all these years, failing that I will see what the interwebs have to offer.
I just checked my emails @Stevemwhitaker (granted it was in 2018) but they got back to me the following day with the firmware update. Going through the chain their final suggestion was that I might need an Engine Suppressor to kill the whine. The email address I used was techsupport@xtrons.com...
Interesting solution @ab1702. I have some RCA adapter things, but I find the whine is somewhat still there, buuuuuut I am not 110% convinced as to where the signal is being affected. *bare with me*
I have full bose in the car, for which ALL sound goes through the amp etc. I find that when I...
Are these the full wiring diagrams for the 8P or just the section to help the OP?
If yes, thaaaaaaank you, I am trying to trace a few niggles.
Is the MJ2004/2006 different chassis types?
I tried this last night as it doesn't make sense, and I can confirm I headbutted the steering wheel when stamping on the brakes with my left foot while accelerating (Y)
I am in a 2008 S3 though ,but it just doesn't sound "right"
Had a wee bump in the car which resulted in her getting written off (apparently 7.5k worth of repairs).
I wasnt convinced with this estimate, so I purchased her back from the insurance company, and have managed to get her legally back on the road for less than 20% of that quote.
But to bring...
thats the "back" button I am talking about, if @lapac has that then he should be able to get to the speedo (granted if his car has this coded)
I have this on my DIS all the time, as its easier/quicker to read while driving, not to mention when in the EU a quick switch to KPH makes staying on...
I was getting my car MOT'd this morning n she is sitting running idle...the racket that was coming out of her was offensive. I have always since getting the spec put in thought maybe it wasnt put in right as it just seems lacking on the separation/release
Is that with the disengagement of the previous gear or engagement of the next?
I will "miss" the next gear like 1 in 50 times (normally 1st to 2nd) when 'making progress', but I was putting it down to my left leg being lazy, as it doesnt happen all the time
What irked you about the Spec?
I have it in my car n I am starting to question its effect i.e. gear stick not feeling as assured anymore, I am having to place in 3rd + 4th,whereas it used to flop back to centre.
Also, there is a definitive cluck starting to happen when i engage it for gear...
