£60 diagnostic fee paid for by place I bought the car from, Audi confirm the horn doesn't work (thanks captain obvious, £60 well worth it)
Cost to replace horn £245 - garage I bought the car from, no longer interested in any further contributions. "You are expected to claim ownership after a...
I complained to Audi over twitter as to how a horn can go after just 3 years, Audi UK phoned me to confirm they will look into it and "see what they can do" with my local audi dealer
good point re SOGA! Totally forgot about that, it's 6 months having just checked. (which for me will be end of December)
I'll contact the non audi dealer, only two months ago they paid for a new stronic clutch, so hopefully this small issue of the horn not working will easy to resolve also.
So in traffic needed to use it doesn't work, now on the audi website booking in to fix under audi extended warranty (first time using it)
Do you still have to pay £60 investigation fee even under audi warranty? I've checked the fuse, looks fine, replaced it anyway and still nothing (you can...
that car is absolutely stunning, looks brand new even though it's a 10plate. Would love to have that if it weren't for choosing a 1.4 for best MPG with a family now etc to save costs. I'd have a tracker and whatever alarm approved by Fort Knox for that beauty.
Driving along doing 30mph, all of a sudden engines revving. I look down and the actual gear stick physically moved from D to N. Shifted back to D all fine
Is this a known issue ? How the hell has the stick moved itself to neutral? I've already had an entire new clutch fitted just 3 weeks ago...
Just been having a search, and seems to be a real bargain. Aren't these usually upwards of £90-100 each?
http://www.tyreleader.co.uk/car-tyres/goodyear/eagle-f1-asymmetric-2/225-45-r17-91y-220436
Also this may seem really simple, on Camskill they have tyres listed as "OE AUDI" and ones without...
hang on you mean the actual 'alarm' as standard is just those contstant beeps? I've no idea about cars or vcds or anything like that, is it a case of someone plugging in and setting the alarm to actually be an alarm and not some lame pathetic clicking/beeping?
I'd also like to have the locking...
those fence sprayers are the one of the worst diy ideas going, unless the fence is way out on it's own in the countryside it'll always have some blown elsewhere unintentionally.
A couple of recent car breakins locally has made me think about how loud the alarm is, usually these factory ones are quiet (due to eu regs or something?) - has anyone added their own / recommend?
I used to always get a sigma one added in the past
Also - just to add incase anyone in future finds this thread having experienced the same problem - WARRANTY WISE confirm they would have covered me. They cover premature wear and tear
They confirm having spoken to a technician that if worn out much sooner then it should as mine did, they class...
just to confirm, car was driven back by Walton Audi yesterday all washed etc. Took it out for a short spin to tesco for petrol, all seems well and a pleasure to drive with the real test being longer runs when things are warmed up.
Definetely recommend Walton Audi, my neighbour is going to start...
just looking at your site for the past 15mins or so Ash - I'm always impressed by how people like you take cars apart like they're made of lego, I am absolutely clueless when it comes to cars leaving it to the experts. That lorry driver cutting you up (!) - anyway will pm you, I'm aware xenons...
haha mickey.mouse@honestman.co.uk - some people will fall for it unfortunately. This and people allegedly ringing up from microsoft telling me I need to pay in order to remove a virus on my pc are shameless.
I've never bought privately, always from a large dealership. I know you could get a...
massive scam, when selling on autotrader the popular buyer who happens to be on an oil rig offshore working for the government emails you saying how nice the car looks. You get a fake email showing how money has been transfferred into say a paypal account, and you then happily pay some transfer...
update: 100% part is covered by Audi goodwill, 100% of the labour is covered by the dealer I bought the car from (Stratstone, who have been massively helpful, very considerate I must say, definetley one to trust)
Part is being delivered tomorrow to Audi, being all fitted up start of next week.
