Thanks for the response Nhn!
How would one disable belt sensor in airbag module? I have OBDEleven (pro) and almost any thing which I try in 15-Airbags returns "(31) Function not available".
My workaround for this problem (if I cannot disable the belt sensor myself) is a bit hacky, but seems...
Hi everyone,
After almost 4 years of owning my A3 I finally decided to swap my basic seats with some sport seats. My car is RHD (I am not from the UK) and I seem to have bought LHD seats.
Upon plugging everything and tightening the seats, I got the B102715 error code (Front passenger seat...
Means you/your mechanic should do DPF ash reading - quite an easy thing to do with VCDS/OBDEleven.
I think these filters hold up to 70g of ash (can be checked with the same diagnostic tool).
No problem mate! If you manage to find out what is causing this, post here as it might help someone in the future (and I am very curious as this was the very reason I sold the car!) :grinning:
So, lately I have been playing with OBDEleven a lot and the following caught my eye.
Inside 08-Air Conditioning module, under Adaptation I found the following option - After-run of parking heater or parking ventilation and it was disabled so I enabled it.
I have no clue to what it does...

I went over their heads and contacted Audi Deutschland directly from my corporate Daimler email. They caved in because they saw the Daimler thing and they don't want the competition to hear things. :D
Anyway, a quick update in case anyone ever encounters similar problem. I have noticed that I...
So about a month ago, my 85kW 1.6 TDI with 29k miles started producing horrible knocking noises until clutch is pressed. Once you press the clutch, the sound would go away.
Dealership diagnosed it as a failing DMF, they replaced DMF and I was happy all until today... the horrible noise is back...
I'm paying ADAC about 40 Euro per year plus Audi Assist and I think that's more than enough. When Audi Assist terminates, ADAC is the way to go for me for cases like this. They would tow the car to the nearest Audi dealership where the bulb will be replaced under warranty from what I understand...
I believe they are D3S and I doubt you'll need spares. Genuine ones are extremely expensive.
Edit: Lol, I feel like I copy pasted the post above as it was written during the time I was writing mine. :D
Mine was the main bearing in the gearbox as well, mechanic fixed it by inserting something into the gearbox, I assume what the guy in the video above did.
I still swear by Continental TS860 for winter conditions. I've been driving through Austria and Germany these days where the snow surprised Austrian road services during the night and they gripped amazingly well in very poor driving conditions.
I'd rather risk it bursting than risk aluminium parts of the cooling system rusting because silica from coolant has been used up without me knowing it.
I'm sorry, but if Inspection Service is not an oil change, then you aren't sure about those either therefore can not know if oil was changed regularly.
If Inspection Service is an oil change, then it was horrible looked after (23 000 miles between oil changes?).
Anyway, I would steer clear...
