Best method I find is to unbolt the front seats and tilt back then vacuum underneath etc , I do it annually along with a carpet shampoo .

I think you will find both sides are illuminated, mine are but then never assume anything to be the same with audi. :thumbs up:

What pcv revsion are you running? Not all leaks are visible in the same way. If you dont push the engine hard then you'll get over stated audi consumption specs, but yes they ar not really oil usage freindly.

Yep came on a bit sudden on 26th march on a dog walk, ended up being kept in overnight in cardio unit then off for double bypass, turned out to be an issue that runs through generations on my mothers side, still what can you do.

using any aftermarket loom can be fraught with problems, going aftermarket on a b7 is multiplied by 10..lol most connect 2 kits will require a link cut or fitted depending on the HU brand, also not all installs work out of the box as they are based on oe setup and lots of b7's have been messed...

Oil consumption and leaks are just life with a petrol B7. If you are not loosing through burning then more likely a small leak , best keep an eye on it. :thumbs up:

Afternoon chaps, just checking in to make all is ok. My bypass went ok, with only 1 minor complication but on the scale of things atleast i'm still alive and kicking. It's going to a few weeks before i'm even close to being able to drive or do anything on the car but will helpout on the forum...

I use Febi and have done for a while with no probs at all. Are you sure it is commomig from the HPFP, that wole area can be very ratttley?

just seen the pm chap, yes to it. currenly bored out of my brain stuck in flippin hospital, doesnt do ones mental state of mind or back side any favours.

good news you are all sorted on this fix:thumbs up: yes it is a bit of a struggle, if i was doing it again i'd opt to remove the cam chain timing cover along with the vac pump. once the bolt locations are familair and with the right tool its a quick removal and has all benefits of a much more...
