Thanks for the reply. I went to have a play with it earlier but quickly realised that the lock mechanism is in a fixed position and is tight to the door frame.

Maybe you could swap the bulbs around and see which side fails.

I can't help you with any specifics, but I would recommend that you MOT the car just before the warranty expires. It could save you a few bucks.

You should get back in touch with the stealership if they told you that the failed MOT cancels out the time remaining on the current MOT, it is simply not true. And even if the car did not have a valid MOT then you are still allowed to drive the car to and from garages. Source...
