When you say prying the carriers apart can you elaborate please bro? I understand you have to slide the brushed in the carriers up and down and perhaps oil light with wd40 so they regain their spring but do u have to widen the carrier then? so it is not so tight?

Anyone experience a metallic feeling rattle when letting the clutch out at the end of a gear change? Its the same when you start to depress it again to change to the next gear feels like a rattle grating feeling :/ It's done 44k 2.0t fsi if that helps maybe they are all the same? No slipping...

Just to confirm because i did this myself last week. There are actually 3 rubber grommets there is a rectangular one under the battery that doesn't drain anything the gromit to remove is behind the battery an is the same style as the one by the servo. I pushed both through. I'm just concerned...

Well got the car a few weeks ago, it had been living under and tree and owned by a couple who used it for a run about without much thought to cleaning it, paint was a mess lots of small scratches all over it, wheels were curbed to death and had massive lumps taken out of them! On the plus side...
