Hi all ,
I have recently fitted a tow bar to my s3 and just in the middle of electrics for 7 pin socket.
Have found the rear lights, brakes, fog light and reverse.
But am struggling with the indicator as I'm not getting 12 volts at any of the connections on the rear lights???
Anyone know what...
Found this off of another forum but states it's for an a3.
After testing what I could last night already found two of the below connections not to be correct???
Can anyone confirm that the connections below are correct or not??
Easier to wire the socket direct to the loom. Connections...
Quick update,
Just ordered myself a westfalia detachable towbar. Should be here tomorrow or Thursday the lastest.
Fitting it myself. Was thinking of doing a little how do thread but guessing it wouldn't be of much help as 99% s3 owners won't be towing :ninja:
thanks mate, went on website, which then gives you local companies that say they supply said tow bars. Will have to wait till the morning before ringing them now. thanks again though.

the squeak has disappeared now. But will still get the cambelt done when I can. cheers for the help
Hi all,
In desperate need of me cambelt doing ASAP as there is a slight squeak coming from what I believe to be the tensioner or pulley.
Need this doing ASAP. Anyone know of anywhere near tamworth area?
All fixed now.
And what a total Norman I feel like. The two times I checked the fuses I was checking main beam. :keule:
After reading my owners manual and checking the right fuse. I found it had blown. Changed the fuse and simples!
All working now.
On the plus side at least I have nice new...
Right then. Little update.
So I change the headlight switch and still near side xenon not working.
What the hell is going on???
Still no voltage at the wire that feeds the xenon ballast.
What else could be the cause of this??
Collecting one tomorrow from a 2000 s3. Is it easy enough popping the switch out of the surround?
As if it's a little tatty I'll swop it with mine as mines mint.
Struggling to find one of these switches. There all scrappy looking on eBay. Mines immaculate and I'm a fussy git aswell. Lol
Will a switch from a a4 or passatt fit?
Also can the rotary switch be removed from the switch surround?
