No primer needed. I just removed them from the car and gave them a good clean. Then sprayed it with Matt black plastidip, 5 layers.

I just sprayed the area with plastidip on the bumper and upper + lower grilles 1. One can at £10 2. 2hrs work 3. admire your work

I got mine from here, Plastidip UK Ltd for all Plastidip products UK and Europe There is various brands, but I wanted to stay with a product I know works.

I will try and find the ones I done on my scooby. A few of the local lads have done matt black on their cars and has work very well. and they used the rattle cans to do it. Im doing my wheels in a week or two with gun metal. If you google " Subaru Impreza WRX V-Limited 1996 " my car pops up.
