I have used Dunlops on my Jaguar, they are not bad, but alittle on the soft side( they don't last very long depending on your driving style). I have used Vredestain only once and only winter tyres, quite good but Nokian winters are better in my opinion.
The figs are off the on board computer, so yes they could be out. When I reach 3000 miles I intend to do a 1000 mile check mileage against actual fuel purchased so that I can have an average which I can compare with the on board long term memory.
I have 2800 miles on the clock now and have seen steady improvment in MPG, started at 36 and slowly increased to 42 then 46 and on a recent run down the M6 got 51. The best speed appears to be about 65 mph, at 55 you loose 8th gear as its 50.2/1000rpm. I think with a few more thousand miles...
I agree with Elan2s, normally on bad pot holes you get tyre failure, complete deflation. If you have a slow puncture as a result of the pot hole I would advise that you look at the inside rim of the wheel as this is the weekest part of the wheel when subjected to the sort of impact that a pot...

The easiest way I know of is to look at the boot lid, the C6 chassis had a chrome strip which runs across the width of the boot lid, as far as I know the C7 does not have this trim.
