Yes until you cause a crash on say a busy road/motorway and it's due to the non-fully inserted plug. Insurance companies will not cover. But if you want to take the risk then of course it's down to individuals
Just saying
I was going to rely on my inspection too, such as it was but soon after my daughter got a letter too in respect of her '22 Q2. I was also very worried that if we did not have this carried out by Audi themselves this could come back to haunt in the future - you really need to have this...
Yes of course I took the trim off but like Dnwc mine is different again. I just didn't get my head right under to take a pic which is now attached
Hopefully someone would explain what to check please :)
Hi all - first post in a while. I have an A3 Sportback 40 TFSI e and recieved this letter yesterday. Thanks to 8YARWY for the information, especially the .pdf I've had a quick look behind the panel but it looks different to that shown above - it's all black including the cables which are...
Cheers - looks like it's a suspension issue relating to the rear shock(s) and/or the Mount(s).
I'll make sure mine won't make the same noises when I get it :) Does eveyone go for the 19" wheels?
No you are not being funny :) you are being very helpful. I am new to the world of S3 so would ask if "mag suspension" can account for the noises I'm hearing? Is the adaptive suspension configurable, other than via the various drive modes on the MMI ? The noise I'm hearing is very similar...
Oh - I didn't know that - I just assumed the 19" wheels were an Option. Thanks for that.
So then, there must be a few peeps driving S3 Saloons with 19" wheels who may wish to comment on the suspension?
Hi all
I have been absolutely delighted with my Sportback for the 2 years I have had it but my heart has been telling me to test drive an S3, since I replaced my Mercedes CLK 320 Conv with the 1.4 TFS1.
I have had the loan of a top specced S3 Saloon with 19" wheels since Thursday and I take it...
I'm not poo-pooing the Audi Sat Nav option but the mere subject on the forum seems to generate so much interest. Standing back from this, you are paying anything from £250 to £500 for an SD Card, which are cheap as chips on Ebay. Yes of course this includes the activation but given that the...
I had a similar problem. Every time I hit the smallest of pot holes the front left of the car seemed as if it had no suspension. All the time the front and rear passengers complained. Eventually at about 6 months I started to hear a rattle, took it in and low and behold the Dealership...
What were you expecting? I assume you know temps here in England are significantly lower than in Egypt? 7.5/8.0 degrees celcius at the time of testing - presumably over 40 where you are ? Lol!
I knew someone would say that! I'm not making any of this up - Daron offers a 30-day no quibble returns policy. But if I knew where to take my car then yes, as previously stated, I would be prepared to have it dyno checked - not for my benefit but for others who don't like taking the plunge...
An update................
Just over a week ago, I fitted a TMC Motorsport Tuning Box to my 1.4 TFSI 122ps A3 - I looked seriously at both the DTUK and TMC boxes and wrote to both companies with various questions before deciding which route to go. Having tried to find reports/reviews about the...
This is a useful thread - I too have a 1.4 TFSI 122ps A3 and have been looking at remapping/DTUK Box/Bluespark Box. Not sure about remapping - probably because I haven't been able to read much about it, whereas I have read quite a bit on the 2 boxes. Which of the 2 boxes is best, I do not know...
Thanks guys - much appreciated. Yes that must be it - I'll go for the 130% ones :) on the basis "in for a penny, in for a pound"!
And yes I guess the nearside one will be a pain in the posterior - I don't think I've owned a car that wasn't difficult one side or the other - I usually chew up...
Hi all
A very useful thread. My car was delivered beginning of April and it has only been in the last few weeks that I have done any serious driving at night. I agree that the halogens in my car are not very bright and like the idea of upgrading to Phillips X-Treme bulbs. Could someone post...
