exactly. I did it on the S4 and it is an awkward job. Some guides say make the loom 18 inches long....no way..make it about 3 feet at least or it will never fit. Be careful taking off the steering wheel, airbag and clock spring, my clock spring broke and was a pain to get a new one.

Ive tried changing the vag-com setting back and forth a few times. It does make a difference. The bass changes dramatically when Bose is turned on. Not sure if the actual sound is much better...but there is a definite change in bass level.

There is a ring as part of the steering column assembly that has to be fitted the right way round. If it isnt it causes problems with the abs etc... Thats probably where your issue is.

Has the oil can light ever appeared on the DIS? If so its a prime example of a blocked pickup in the sump. Youve probably caught it very early on. When youre there take off the oil feed pipe to the turbo and clean it out thoroughly, it may be coked up a bit.

You should know when you turn on dipped beam to start, the lights start out blueish but change to white after a short time. If you open up the bonnet and look at the back of the headlight it will have a high voltage warning sticker on it as well.
