    TTS 310PS

There are actually quite a few subtle differences. They have different exhausts (slightly larger on the TTS than the S3 for example). My TTS officially prefers 98RON fuel (S3 never stipulated that preference, although of course that's what I gave her). The gearbox is a lot more lively in the...

    Should I buy a TTS

Just moved from the S3 to a TTS with the 20" wheels, and couldn't be happier. You'll love it!

    Tts alloys

Got the 20's and love them. They seem to be a bit like marmite for opinion, but for me they look very similar to the TT 400 concept car (which I think looks amazing). They probably are a PITA to keep clean, but personally I now almost never clean the car myself. For reasonable money I can get...

    Rs3 exhaust on S3!

I wonder what about the TTS pipes. They are more oval and definitely bigger AND are suited to the 4pot in the TTS, which is very similar to the S3 one. Just moved from an S3 to a TTS and the latter sounds noticeably better IMHO.

    Disable start/stop

Just as a warning to those that do this. I had some, I believe unrelated, issue with the car that when it went into Audi they noticed that the start/stop wasn't working. The local dealer then started to dig a little further and found other VCDS mods. Fortunately the dealer was kind enough to...

    Disable start/stop

You mean the yellow light by the button? No, it doesn't light up at all because as far as the system is concerned start/stop actually is ACTIVE. It's just it will never meet the necessary conditions to actually turn the engine off/on.

Awesome news. Pleased it all worked out for you.

    Squeaky brakes...I think/hope!

    Lol, me too!!!

Right, so slamming brakes for no reason (which I agree is contributory) but which isn't the case here, so what's the relevance of mentioning contributory negligence? This driver, in so far as we are aware, has done nothing contributory. I'm sorry you find it so complicated. Ps, saying...

Whilst some of your references are obviously valid - such as reducing the distance to maintain flow etc, I disagree with your understanding of contributory negligence. That applies in the scenario where the OP has somehow contributed to the accident - at face value, that isn't apparent. An...

How do you define stopping "unsafely". An emergency stop is still safe. I'm sorry, not arguing for the sake of it, but you seem to be implying that because people don't follow the highway code and apply the correct breaking distance that it somehow would be invalidated because it's not common...

    Are misfires normal?

Fortunately the dealer is being pretty good with arranging a deal to get me into another vehicle - just useless at diagnosing the problems with this one (not helped with a lack of error codes apparently).

    Are misfires normal?

    Mental.

    Squeaky brakes...I think/hope!

I get this regularly when the car has got wet - washed or even just heavy rain. Truly awful sound.

    Are misfires normal?

They've recently changed all the spark plugs and the coils to try and resolve the issue. They now want me to go out for a drive with a master tech - ***, to see if I can replicate the hesitation with them in the car. Who knows, but thanks for the suggestions.

Say what? yes the Bus pulled out in front of the Audi causing him to have to stop quickly - but any vehicle, motor or otherwise, should observe the necessary stopping distance. The cyclist failed to do so, and therefore is liable.

    Are misfires normal?

So... there are other threads that discuss my ongoing problems with my S3, but have a specific question that I would like some help with. The dealer asked me to use VCDS to help diagnose what might be causing a sporadic 'hesitation' when driving. So, several journeys done and I review the...

More Problems for S3 and TT-S Experience

That's what I understood. I think they are desperate to avoid that, which is why they are basically doing the same deal but without the stress. I guess they'd rather have one more sale to counteract the lemon they are taking in.

More Problems for S3 and TT-S Experience

I've had a few Audi's and all been fine. This has been the worst possible experience - just non-stop problems. I checked sections 99 and 100 of the consumer credit act and I'm fairly certain I can terminate the agreement after I've made half the payments without any further payment - but might...

More Problems for S3 and TT-S Experience

So, plugging the car into VCDS and all four cylinders are misfiring sporadically. Took a log and shared with Audi (at their request) as they seem unable to diagnose. More waiting. In the meantime, I have agreed to a significant increase in payments to get out of the S3 and into a TTS. Dealer...
