I drive some pretty terrible roads consistantly in the S3 and over the last 5500 miles its averaged 27.5mpg, I don't give it the boot every day except for occasional overtaking but sometimes like to abuse the boost for a few minutes at at time. I think you'd have to be trying/driving everywhere...

I think they are wearing slightly more on the outside but not that much, honestly when I had the tyres brand new they didnt "look" as if they had 8mm of tread at all, looked more like about 6-6.5mm to my eye but that may be because the grooves are quite wide on them. Definitely new tyres though...

Think you're probably looking at different sized tyres to some others in this thread, mine for example were for 225/40/R18 rubber on the 18" S3 rotors.

As above, the holder on the grilles ordered via the group buy is removable, one of the guys in the thread did so and stuck his shortened plate directly onto the honeycomb grille instead, looked good!

Mine only has one mode too on a 2011 S3, ESP on or ESP off, holding for any amount of time doesn't change it further. Does seem to stop it bogging down under hard acceleration around corners etc but I don't tend to turn it off because the light is annoying :)
