Sorry to hear that.... I hope your engine and turbo are still ok. Without the damage, it would have costed me £600+VAT with modified balance shaft and new oil pump.
But unfortunately, in my case, drive shaft, bearing and turbo were all damaged. They polished (?) shaft and bearing. I managed to...
I got the car back today - crankshaft and bearing repaired and turbo replaced with refurbished one. I just drove in busy traffic back home after picking the car up, so couldn't really checked how the car drove. But I can feel the engine responded quicker and smoother (maybe because of new turbo...
Yes, it seems to be the actual pump itself. I took the car to the same specialist. They don't know why the pump died. The turbo is also gone... They will charge me around £1,500-2,000 to repair all. It blew my saving for holiday, too... :(
My Audi A4 2.0Tdi Quattro 2007 BRD had the oil pump shaft modified by specialist about 3 years ago, so I thought it would be all right.
The key shaft is still fine, but unfortunately, the oil pump itself failed and damaged the engine last week...
I changed the oil every 6 months (with expensive...
I know this is old thread, but would like to tell people this. I bought the same adaptor above and it didn't work at all first. Then. I just plugged only one of them - now it works very well! Never had a slight issue with radio like when I used the OEM stereo before. I don't know which one...
Hi. Thanks.
Yes, this guy sounds too cheap, but he just confirmed (10 mins ago) that he would replace the whole disc and he understands he needs to work on PCB because of the issue, but I use him only if I cannot make an insurance claim (ie I have to cover the costs).
The reason I am thinking...
Thank you for your confirmation. But you are not in UK, aren't you?
I found a private service at £120 or Hazzydays ltd doing at £240 +VAT, but I think I can claim the cost to a Warranty.
Sorry for digging out the old topic.
I am trying to replace DVD drive in RNS-E (mk2 Led version) as I get 'disc eject mechanism error' on VCDS.
It is a bit funny, because if I manage to put a disc in, it works as normal, but if I reject a disc. The drive keeps trying to eject and never stops...
Hi
Sorry to bother you. I have a similar problem. My car very often struggles to start. VCDS shows a signal problem Engine speed sender (G28).
Did you manage to fix the problem after replacing the sender?
Thanks
Yes, Ring uses new oem 77mm key, but new one as solid as 100mm - just shorter than 100mm.
( I don't know anything about the part number, but new 77mm key seems to be newer than 100mm key from the part number).
The old 77mm key was like a soft metal tube (and made in China) while new 77mm key is...
Gazwould is absolutely correct, I believe.
This is an explanation from RingEngineering who fixed my Audi A4.

A lot of other companies are copying VW/Audi's 100mm upgrade but the hex keyway they manufacture is not nearly as hard as ours let alone VW/Audi's. We...
Sorry to dig out the old thread.
I managed to install OEM DRL Switch to turn on/off DRL light after converting my Halogen headlights to OEM Xenon ones.
It is actually very simple - DRL Switch pin 3 to pin 30 of T32b on J519 (CEM mine is the one ending N).
My car originally had two knobs - C/H...

The reason for the failure is not down to the length of the key, the failureâs are caused because the internal of the balance shaft is soft and then the hex...
Just done the balance shaft repair today for my Audi A4 2.0TDI Quattro (BRD engine):sm4:.
I am lucky it hadn't happened for 7 years, but I thought it was the right time to do the job (not failed yet...).
It cost me £550+VAT including "Fitting (& new oil and oil filter)".
Considering the oil...
Sorry to dig out the old topic.
Did you manage to sort this out problem.
I did try the wiring you mentioned, but still doesn't work.
Could you advise me how to solve this rear fog problem, please.
Thanks.
