Mine has done it since collecting a few weeks ago but the Leeds Audi said there was an update for the SOS fault. Rang local dealer (Shrewsbury) who said no updates due but when pressed said there was an update for the SOS failure. It is out there but you have to ask direct questions.

If you have Android/Apple carplay I would use Google maps as I think it is now Carplay compatible . I paid for the SD upgrade in 2014 and don't use it as both TomTom and Google Maps are better and thats just using a phone. The SD mapping is ok but doesn't get updated, not sure in a FL car but...
I had a new one last year. Old one was Audi branded (but made by AGC as the fitter checked), new one was made by AGC. I think it's just the four rings that make the difference if you go OEM.
This was Autoglass BTW.
Autoglass fitted an AGC acoustic windscreen on mine. Old one on removal, although Audi branded, was made by AGC according to the fitter who checked.
No problems with the fitting here.

In the UK, I use PGPSW database on the phone. You can either overlay it within the TomTom app or use the dedicated speed camera app.
Had a snooper once and the database was out of date all the time. My thoughts would be the smaller and cheaper the system, the less care in...
Still work in progress but I've tried to write to the SD card and it seems to be write protected even with the tab in the correct position. Also tried off a separate SD card and the system says the data is the wrong format.
