Photography canon pro/amatures... Which lens would you go for?

Hi, is there a major difference without the "IS"? I'm worried that my shots will just come out jerky with out a tripod, especially long range. Thanks, Jo

    Which D-SLR?

A month ago I came to a decision... The Nikon D40x or the Canon EOS 400d both are the latest replacements to the above models you quoted. I chose the Canon in the end. Picture quality from various gallary forums and reviews seemed more in favour of Canon. But small complaints of its...

    some pics from yesterday

Recently got into the D-SLR craze my self recently.. splashed on a Canon EOS 400d, over the Nikon d40x. I could really do with a lens that has Image Stabilizer when I can't be bothered with lugging around a tripod. That f/2.8L lens certainly makes the difference... not a cheap lens thats for...

    Yes. Yes. Yes. Effin Marvelous!

When my new A3 arrived, the dealer said it only took 2 or 3 days max to prepare for collection. Why should an S3 take so long to prepare!?!

    Yes. Yes. Yes. Effin Marvelous!

Mechanics have to have there little spin in it first, like some gnvq college graduate taking a test... SPIN .... Then the sales staff have to let the customers test it out for another... SPIN ... oh and then the show room stand, where customers get to admire and fiddle with all the nobs and...

    2007 Sprortback - cup holder

Snag number 2! Unless you have big hand nuckles yes you will hit the cup holder on a manual gear shift. Another snag is you will have difficulty changing the sat-nav views not to mention if you had a cup in the way of the screen! lol.... I only have it now cause it looks like an impressive...

    Lead times on A3's

I just so happend to order a new leather sofa from DFS and a new A3 both at exactly the same time. Was told (back then in April 2004) that it would take 10 weeks build and delivery time from both DFS and Audi, I thought coincidence. Sofa coming from Italy and a car coming in from Germany. 10...

You think tax is bad here... Singapore prices are about 40,000 GBP for a basic 2.0T A3 Sportback. even 115,000 GBP for an RS4. Just curious... Wonder where the cheapest place is to buy an A3 2.0T and where's the most expensive "On the Road" price.

    Golf Mk4's just wanna race!

I had some guy in his (A3-8L) 1.8T go head to head. This wasn't on a motorway. What ever speed I did in my diesel he did the same. Didn't feel satisfying at the time. Would have loved to have raced him on a straight road.
