2013 A4 Black Edition front fog grill removal

covers come of easy with the right tool. VW's have a tool that pulls off wheel bolt caps, they have a hole on the middle of them.. The same tool is also used to pull off the fog surrounds. Its a essentally a thick wire letter "P" with a hook on the end, loads on fleabay

A4 black edition avant tyre wear

I found the SC3's rather useless for grip under 5C, very easy to step the rear out. Winter tyres are the real answer, but they still seem to be an enthusiast only thing in the UK.

    Steering correction/notchy

Loads of threads on this, I've commented on loads of them myself. Basically the electric steering is c***, but you can reduce the effect somewhat. It also seems some cars are more affected by it than others, my car was very, very sensitive to tyre pressures. So start with pressurse, the Audi...

Ordered new car and it's not an Audi

I'm still on Briskoda, mytiguan.com is the place for Tigs. If only the Audi sales guy's in Swindon would have looked after me like the service department have "they been very good", I would be in a Q5 now, that said I'm in love with this Tiguan

A4 black edition avant tyre wear

Just some more ref. I just hit 19k (minus max of @5k for winter tyres) they are Conti SC3's and have been rotated front to rear and they are all now @3.5mm, all evenly worn I might add. (my pressures must be correct) I estimate they will make another 3k miles, so @17k for the set on a...

Engineer question - re bore wheel adaptor

I think the clue is in the title, "bore size". Its only the wheel that gets bored, if the bore size of the wheel is 66.6mm the flange on the hub will have to be a "fraction" smaller, and it will have a dimension but it's not a bore size. The workshop should would work it out from the adaptor...

    Weather dependant, dodgy brake light?

Expansion & contraction on a connection or a dry-joint solder connection. Undo & Redo every connection plug asociated with rear lights and check the brake lamp fitting and if its a pcb check all solder.

    PSI for 19"

My mpg has remained consistant with tyre pressures between 30 and 45, I had settled on 36/33, but after checking tyres when they were taken off for winter they were very very slightly worn down a bit more in the middle of each tyre. This suggests they are still a litttle bit over inflated, I'm...

    PSI for 19"

FYI. If your car suffers from the too-light steering that causes constant corrections when driving in a straight line, the pressures I mentioned above "F35-R32" reduce this effect.

    ContiSport 3's

Back to the original post, I just put my Conti3's back on after winter tyres and have also noticed the tramlining again, but the feedback and feel is good to have back. It seems you can't have it all, well not at the same time.
