Cheers looking at those the whole shaft has to be upgraded rather than just replacing the hex bolt, will have a chat with the garage tomorrow and see what they think, more money oh joy!

Update their going to check the oil pump balancer issue out they think low oil pressure or a blocked pick up pipe has made the turbo go pop as the oil is like sludge, the sumps coming off and their going to investigate looks like I can add new hex bolt to the repair list, seriously regret buying...

Don't want to worry you but sounds similar to what's happened to mine just before the turbo went pop, may not be that serious but defo worth getting it checked out.

Sorry for the negatives but I'm just letting you know what's happened to mine and what I've read, there's nothing to say the 2007 plate will have issues the 2010 May be the safer bet but again I'd say do your research and make sure your happy before parting with the cash.

Is there any test for oil pressure so they can eliminate it or confirm it as the cause?

So my turbo has gone pop so the question is shall I get it repaired or upgrade? What's involved with the upgrade does it need Ecu upgrades etc. Will it give any better performance things like that, also cost wise for good upgrade is it massively expensive? Cheers. 2.0l tdi 170 by the way.

The main worry is the oil balancer issue and turbo from what I've read, don't get me wrong I love mine its superb to drive and has plenty of power as it is just be aware of the issues do your research so you don't get caught out like I did.

Ok update, the turbo knackered and they suspect the head is cracked but won't confirm until the turbo issue is sorted, so looks like the turbo is off to be repaired first then the head issue after that, merry Christmas eh!

Ive had mine 2 months and the turbos gone pop and suspected cracked head, make sure you have a good read about the thread on the oil pump balancer problems, all things I wish I'd of known about before I bought mine.
