    A3 3.2 V6 PCV valve diaphragm replacement

PS car will probably be up for sale in the next 6 months or so, so if anyone knows of someone who is after a well looked after A3 3.2 DSG 5-dr give me a PM...!

    A3 3.2 V6 PCV valve diaphragm replacement

Glad this continues to be of help! Yep, car is still running flawlessly 15000 miles later.

    A3 3.2 V6 PCV valve diaphragm replacement

Yep, easy to disassemble. Seems a shame to have to buy the whole thing for a small rubber diaphragm, but cheaper than any other alternative I could find!

    A3 3.2 V6 PCV valve diaphragm replacement

Engine is exactly the same, so should work fine. Mine has been well ever since by the way.

3.2 V6 Hesitation at 1800-1900RPM with only Partial Throttle.

    Yep sounds like this: http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/a3-s3-sportback-8p-chassis/206883-a3-3-2-v6-misfire-fixed-ecu-software-update.html

    A3 3.2 V6 PCV valve diaphragm replacement

It was pretty bad, and VCDS said multiple misfires but nothing specific. The giveaway was the hissing from the rocker cover hole, and that it was fine once the hose from the inlet manifold was removed and blocked.

    A3 3.2 V6 PCV valve diaphragm replacement

Yep, bumper seemed to go back on fine - found the 10mm bolt easy enough with a long extension, but admit the screws are a pain.

    A3 3.2 V6 PCV valve diaphragm replacement

JJ.Foulds - Yep a ridiculous design! autolatry - Ouch. In comparison the 2.0 TFSI PCV was £38.68 today, which I thought was steep seeing as all I needed was 50p's worth of rubber...

    A3 3.2 V6 PCV valve diaphragm replacement

I had an extremely poor idle, and thanks to the below threads diagnosed it to a failed PCV valve. However, on the 3.2 VR6, the PCV arrangement is under the valve cover. Which is under the inlet manifold. Which can't be removed without sliding forward the slam panel. Which can't be done...

    A3 3.2 v6 misfire fixed - ECU software update

Could do. I'd suggest that if you can't feel anything wrong with your car you leave it though.

    A3 3.2 v6 misfire fixed - ECU software update

If you can't hold 2000rpm steady in neutral, and can feel surging in-gear between about 1500rpm and 2200rpm, I'd say you need an update. A scan with VCDS showed my software was on version 7000 (it is now on version 8036). I specifically told them it had a misfire "at high revs" and also around...

    A3 3.2 v6 misfire fixed - ECU software update

I know there are several threads on this (e.g. http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/a3-s3-sportback-8p-chassis/161451-a3-3-2-2004-missfire-2.html), but for people's future reference... Just had TPI 2010289/3 (SVM 8P01A005) applied by Swindon Audi. After a little confusion, once I gave them the SVM...
