Thanks for the reply, I actually live down the road from the UK Devilsown importer Bruce, he also does Coolingmist and I am running a Coolingmist progressive kit currently on the 2.5 diesel engine in my T5.
At JKM it dyno'd 300hp on diesel only and 335hp with the water meths on, running 50:50...
I currently have a tuned diesel VW T5 2.5 diesel but it's being converted with a 2.5 RSQ3 engine.
I currently have a water/meth injection system on the T5 running with the diesel when extra power is needed so I can easily set it up on the new engine.
Just wondered if any of use have run it...
Just wondered if anyone on here had run water meths on there 2.5's??.
The reason I ask is I am going to attempt an RSQ3 engine convertion into my VW T5 and it currently has a water meth setup on it for the current Diesel engine.
Yes I was referring to port match the inlet elbow.
I did the same on my current turbo, after the compressor housing had been machined to take the bigger comp wheel I fitted the inlet elbow and matched the ID of the elbow to the ID of the compressor housing.
Thanks for the info, I would only be going Syvecs for the ease of installation but agree it's a great bit of kit but costs around 4K.
I do have the complete RSQ3 donor car but it may be to much work trying to get all the OE management working in the T5.
To go with Syvecs I can also get...
Forge do an intercooler for the T5 however the Wagner unit is in a different league.
I will probably get the turbo rebuilt with slightly bigger wheels as the turbo company I currently use for my hybrids as done them before, may also have to run Syvecs.
I may not be using it, I actually spoke to Scorpion exhaust today about down pipes and they will sell me only the first section of a RS3 pipe if I want it.
After that I was going to have a custom 3" made all the way through
Hi guys, just after some advice really on these 2.5's as it was a while ago when I had my last tuned petrol (S3).
I am going to try and fit a RSQ3 engine in my VW T5, when I spoke to Andy at Storm he said the engine was very similar to the RS3 but just de-tuned.
So basically what kind of air...
In the future sometime I will be breaking a 14 plate misano red RSQ3.
Sorry but no engine as I am using it for a conversion but there will be a good front and rear end, wheels, Brembo brakes, inertia etc.
If the DQ500 box and full running gear doesn't get used that will be sold on as well...
Thanks for your replys, I ended up buying a complete RSQ3 to use as a donor.
However there are lots of differences to the T5, DQ500 box on the T5 angles the engine forward and the gearbox mounts on the end and not on the top like the RS box.
Also the transfer box and rear Haldex diff are...
Hi, I am considering using a 2.5TSI engine and running gear for a conversion and have been looking at RS3's and TTRS's being broken.
I was just wondering do the early RSQ3's use the same engine and DQ500 DSG box?.
Even though the RSQ3 has lower power from the factory it looks like they may share...

I agree the towbar is somthing I can fit and I also have VCDS (Vagcom) to do the coding, I think it's Westfalia that make the Audi towbars but from the likes of PF Jones they are around half the price, aprox £360 with 7 pin plug and play kit.
