Car not starting when warm? 2.0 FSI 2004

Yep. Drained the battery flat trying to start it when I went to Morrison's. Lol. Was embarrassing... walked home, called the AA, walked back the car a while later... the car was cold, and started first time. Read on a forum somewhere that the car under fuels when it thinks its cold, or something...

Car not starting when warm? 2.0 FSI 2004

The same thing happened with my TT. I changed the coolant temp sensor, found a genuine part on eBay or £10, changed it myself, and been perfect ever since. I know its not the same car/motor etc. But worth a try.

    excessive air? head issue?

Video of my expansion bottle at full operating temp. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbo9cKxmHug&feature=youtube_gdata_player So when the bottle is closed, that air builds up and forces all the coolant out. Could that pipe be blocked?

    excessive air? head issue?

Got it booked in for Monday. Gonna pull the head and have a look. More than likely, whoever fitted the new head, was a ****, and did a shoddy job of it. Fingers crossed.

OK....so I posted about the loss of water my 55 plate 2.0tdi. coolant issues...

Hi everyone. New to the forums, but I own 2 so needed to find some like minded petrol heads. My problem is with my 55 plate A3 2.0tdi The expansion bottle seems to fill with air, and expand, pushing all the water/coolant out. Lighting up the coolant level warning light. Ive had the...
