Any further feedback from FL S3 owners re +/- wastegate rattle? I'm due to receive mine next month but have a test drive + inspection organised prior to accepting car to check for the rattle (had it on 1 of my 2 previous M7R's and not keen on having it again!)

This has got me worried: had the wastegate rattle on my MK7 R and it did my head in! Would be very disappointed to have it on my FL S3 :(

^ Yeah, Warwicks a bit of a glass half empty guy which can be a bit draining.... IMO, ignoring styling which is subjective, the 3 big benefits of the FL to me are the new 7spd DSG, Matrix LED's and better tech (Virtual cockpit, MMI improvements, Apple CarPlay etc). Factoring in big depreciation...

I think so: I'm coming from a Mk7 R and to me the major attractions are the new 7 Spd DSG unit, the VC (standard Downunder) and the various tech tweaks (better exhaust note, haldex distribution etc). Best of all is the gorgeous S3 cabin, particularly the S sports seats (Part if a performance...

Anyone with a FL S3 got the wastegate rattle? I think I saw someone mention it in the FL A3/S3 photo section. I'm looking at ordering a FL S3 but am pretty keen not too have a repeat of my MK7 Golf R rattle!

Anyone with the low RPM metallic wastegate rattle on their facelit S3? I'm hoping they have got this sorted before I pull the trigger.cheers

Fair enough, good advice David :) However, I'm probably going to bite the bullet soon and install a CTS DP and a light tune so hopefully no more rattle and better performance (win-win!).

Anyone with any further experience of sorting this issue? Is aftermarket Downpipe replacement the solution?

Agree love the FL look; most excited about the drivetrain improvements, the new 7 speed s-tronic reason enough to choose the FL.
