In truth you don't know what the guys doing with his laptop do you?
At the end of the day i know when a map is a good one, generic or custom doesn't bother me.
Well yeah because what we used to do is use vagcom and log what was happening to see what the effects were after adjusting the settings!! Yes seeing what the ecu is doing can be done and was done many times by many people on the mk5 platform!
Why another time?
Further to add the vender you use...
Have you ever tuned a car before dandanfings? Honestly I've never herd so much rubbish about generic maps in my life!
I had a Revo code on my 07 Cupra for the best part of 4 years banged in one of the quickest 1/4 mile times for a fwd manual and it never missed a beat!!
Do you honestly think...
B14's on with golf R geo setup and its made a massive improvement in handling, turn in as said is greatly improved. Went with a one finger gap at the front and two at the rear, I prefer my cars nose down slightly, just looks more aggressive.
I have one fitted, decent bit of kit, takes air from the entire front end and goes direct straight to the filter which is pretty big. I made two rectangle holes in the top section of the grill either side above the Audi rings as this is blanked off to help with air feed. Oh and its quiet!
There from ego-autotuning.de and yeah as said above around £200 to fit all in!
Top service surprised how quick they came with everyone saying no bilstien stock till December.
Ordering some OZ Ultraleggera's next week they weigh 8.4kg. One thing with these wheels is the car NEEDS lowering to make them suite imo. Cant be having standard ride height with track wheels
