Just wondering if anyone knows if a suspension kit off a 1999 and before 1.8t would fit a 1999 onwards 1.8se??? need to know asap as im looking to get it asap... Cheers for the help!

is yours a non turbo with a chip???? was it worth it? Nos is worrying me lol just spent the day watching youtube videos of engine explosions with nos :( but im still going to go for it. With the de cat is it that noticable? my mate had one on his saxo vtr years ago and said the revs fly through...

plan is to go coil overs, decat, performance cams, then nos. Just squeezing everything i can outta the engine before it goes pop like the last one lol then i can find a turbo. by that time i think i can justify the 2.7 turbo lump :) plus i can then maybe insure it... Anything else you guys...

Does anyone know if they do a decat for a 1.8se. Will a turbo decat fit? or will i have to go custom made? how much are they roughly? Camshafts for a 1.8se Hydrolic or mechanical???? So many questions, wish i owned a turbo :( but finally, does anyone know anything about nos? wondering how much...

done, and instead of selling it, im happy enough to keep it, yes i want a turbo but that day will come. just not now. Drives like new, didnt realise how much power was lost in the old engine, the oil was all clogged causing it to back fire because of the valves or something???? goes like it...

thank you for your help guys, in the end i found the exact 1.8se engine so im just going to replace it and sell it for a faster model. MY mechanic must have meant there would be more things to source like intercoolers etc??? and apparently the fuel lines and everything need changing? whats dones...

thats all i needed to know, i will be looking for a 2.4 then, how about the 2.8 or the 1.8t??? i really want the 1.8t but theres apparently alot more work involved...

seems like the 2.4 engine is quicker than the 2.6 :s hmmmmmmm.... confused. 2.6 will feel alot different from the 1.8se though???

I have found a 2.6 engine if anyone knows if its easier, plus its the whole doner car. now its the insurance thats hasseling me, they wont give a qoute unless i get an engineers report. Are the 2.6 engines tunable?? Worried they wont insure me...

S4??????? i dont know if i could get insured on that. I am very interested though, would it be classed as a proper s4 by the insurers??? My mechanic is charging me 200 for labour.

My 1.8se engine has basically died due to the oil being caked up and clogging the internals. The mechanic said he could take it apart and get it dipped in acid, to get it running, but he was afriad that after all that, there would be still problems. Sooooooooo, he suggested replacing the whole...

This was just after i picked up my stereo and arrived at the uni carpark... Obviously i didnt want to leave it unlocked lol! But this is just what has happened to mine, and seems like a similar problem to yours, anyways, i would like to know what went wrong. Let us know how u get it sorted... Dom

Maybe the plastic cover is blocking the locking bit that clips to lock the boot. This is what happened to mine, when it doesnt lock, have a look to see if the lock is stuck. It might be the same problem as me as when i pressed the button, all doors locked except the boot yet the boot also made...

Btw, Im a poor student. This Rockford amp + 2 powercaps is only costin me 100 quid. i think its a better option than anything else, even if the caps are useless, might as well get the amp with them too...
