    Tom's Quattro Special Ed.

So put the rear adjusters back in as i wasn't really enjoying hitting every single piece of asphalt! Raised buy about 10mm. Also fitted my BSH PCV fix kit. Not sure there was anything wrong with the other one but at least that'll knock that one on the head.

Can’t open glove box –how to fix? (A4 Avant - 56 plate)

As long as it's that arm that is broken, then yes, it will fix it! have you got the handle out? not that difficult, just need a torx small enough in length to slot into the side of the lid. That one on eBay will do it! Make sure you ask for one with a hole for the lock barrel (that's if you've...

Can’t open glove box –how to fix? (A4 Avant - 56 plate)

Is repairing it yourself out of the question? mine broke a couple weeks ago, finally got round to doing it at work!

    Sump removal 2.0Tdi

Need to support the engine, and drop the subframe (engine sits on the subframe so you'll definitely need to support the engine). Sounds daunting but doesn't look too bad.

Remap - Will it be worth it?

Who's charging you 500 notes for a stage 1 + DV???!!! I'm not going to bother with stage 1 and just go straight to stage 2. Only extra strain it will put on in my view is the clutch. Obviously the engine is going to be working harder but as long as you keep to strict oil and filters changes i...

    Remap Vs tuning box

I would stay away from tuning boxes, all they do is fob the sensors and inject more 'stuff' into the engine. A custom remap although more expensive is as you said tailer to the needs of the car. Also you'd get a smoother delivery of power. The tuner would RR it so you can even see the power...

    Air Intake

Easily done. 3" alley pipe (mock something up then get it welded). Get a selection of bend etc of ebay. Cone filter and a silicone reducer to connect it to the turbo! Can either get a MAF flange or incorporate the existing MAF housing into the pipe work. When i get round to it i'm going to make...

    Fuel tank vent modification

I've heard (especially on the petrols) that if you've going to use the extra bit to get some more fuel in, ensure you're going to drive on for a while otherwise if the car is sat around in the heat for example, there's no where for any fumes to expand to etc. Tom

    Tom's Quattro Special Ed.

I ordered it via euroenginuity (US company). I saw they had it for sale (advertised on instagram). They said they'd give a hell of a deal so it might have been one just lying around and they needed to shift it on so i got it for a pretty dam good price (including import duty). I was in contact...

    Coilovers for a quattro

Just wondering, if you were keeping it would be worth going a bit more like AP's etc. But if you're selling up then i would stick with the joms!
