We collected our second A3 Sportback 8v yesterday from Sheffield Audi. This one replaced our 2014 A1 Sportback S-Line, which has been a great little car.
We've got another pre-facelift A3 Sportback 8v S-Line in Daytona, which is a stunning car and great to drive, which is why we've gone for...
I've got a Daytona A3 SB and a Glacier A1 SB. I think they are the two best colours and both look great, especially when freshly washed. I do agree that the Daytona is probably easier to keep clean, as the white does show any contaminants a lot more, and can quickly look grubby in bad weather...
I think you wolud be fine with the sports suspension, but make sure you have a test drive first to be sure, as it is down to personal preference as to what is a comfortable ride. Deselecting sports suspension will raise the ride height a little and can certainly look a bit odd on an S-Line spec...
1. Rear doors - for practicality and easier to get in and out of the car in the garage etc.
2. S-Line - makes a massive difference to the looks of the car
3. S-Tronic - I really don't like a clutch
After that it's down to the options... Comfort pack, iPod integration, Phone integration...
I specifically requested an automatic car when mine was in for its service. I was given an A6 3.0 TDI multitronic which was nice to drive for the day. Was very nice to have the power over a 1.6 TDI A3 Sportback. :-)
Coming back yesterday on a 100 mile run up the M1 between J13 and J30, my 1.6 TDI averaged 74 MPG which was pretty good. This was in fairly clear traffic driving carefully around 65 - 70 MPH.
The 2.0 and 1.6 can achieve similar MPG figures although the 1.6 will struggle with any hills more...
Yes, the S-Tronic is great in the 1.6 TDI. It's very smooth and quiet and just generally nice to drive, albeit without the power and torque if the 2.0 TDI. The start/stop works really well with the S-Tronic, and if you also go to for the hold-assist for an extra few quid, it makes the car so...
Definitely Glacier White. Amalfi isn't pure white and more of a cream that I'm not as keen on personally. There are a lot of white cars out there these days, including one of mine, but if I was going for white, it would have to be Glacier.
Sheffield Audi have been excellent with me. I can't fault any of the service I have received from them. I bought my A3 Sportback S-line 8V from them, and last week we also ordered a new A1 Sportback S-line from them. I've always dealt with Rob in sales, and have had 3 news cars bought through...
Is there anyway of getting PCP monthly prices though the configurator? Or is it a case of sitting down with someone at Audi and going through the prices etc? I wasn't sure if you could get finance quotes online for PCP?
Hi Guys,
I'm new to the A1 forum as I've previously only posted over in the A3 8V forum.
I've currently got a new A3 Sportback 1.6 TDI S-line, and yesterday we put an order in for a new A1 Sportback 1.6 TDI S-line Style as a second Audi.
Spec is as follows:
A1 Sportback 1.6 TDI S-line Style...
Did you guys get some oil when you picked up your new cars to top up the oil? How many miles did you do before putting this in? Did you put the full bottle in?
I've got the 1.6TDI and got a litre of oil when I got the car. Wondering if I should top up the oil and put it in now.
I've seen a couple of other 8V's in Daytona (apart from my own that is)! I've probably seen more other models though (A6's mainly) in that colour. It's definitely one of the nicest colours around at the moment.
It's actually quite strange seeing pics of new cars on here that are pretty much...
