So since I rarely sit in the back of my own car I havent really noticed this until now, but is there supposed to be a LED strip around the speakers in the back seats like there is on the speakers in the doors on the front? It feels like there are strips there, but there's no light.

The big question here is whether existing cars get it as well through a MMI update or if you need a brand new car/MMI unit.

I found details about the launch control in the manual and it turns out my car is indeed equipped with it. I gave it a try and wow... it was way too much fun, haha. Good thing I dont have many appropriate roads nearby to do it on or I'd wear out the car in no time. :)

The gear shifter should be in D/S I assume? Again, Ive read somewhere I cant recall, that the details around the launch control was described in the manual, and that its only valid for the quattro versions with S-tronic.

From searching around it seems like the A3's with stronic and quattro ("wet clutch"?) has launch control support. I couldnt find anything about this in my owners handbook, but Ive seen it mentioned that its in the manual somewhere. Does anyone have more information? Cheers!

You can certainly get Matrix LEDs on the A3/S3. I just didnt spec it. a wide range of customers can reap the benefits – the LED headlights, for example, are available from the compact A3 car line upward

Ive also had some issues with the high beam assist. What I think I've figured out is that if I manually activate the high beams, then push the lever back so that its in "auto" mode, it seems to work fairly well although I find it to be a bit too slow to come back on after Ive passed a car.
