Call Audi with your vin # and the serial number of your RNS-E which should begin with AUZ. Do you have a number to call Audi directly in your country? I wouldn't' call a dealer. In the US we call Audi USA and they are very helpful. They get the code within a few hours for you.

Okay the problem is solved. I retrieved the AUZ number (serial number) via a free version of Ross-Tech Vag and an old cable I had laying around. It worked great. I got the serial number and submitted it to Audi with MY Vin number and information. They said they will call me back in an hour...
Okay, I got the radio to turn on and it is asking for the code. I looked everywhere for the AUZ number on the radio. How can I get the AUZ number if it isn't anywhere to be found? Wow, nothing is easy.
I don't know anyone that has this radio to test it. Called a buddy that is a mechanic and he said if that happens, it is usually the radio itself. Not looking good, but would be nice to try before I send the radio back to seller. Thanks for the reply.
