Just done this mod, and now have somewhere to put phone etc....
So it's done but what about the light , i am thinking..... so i takes the led and diffuser out of the old ashtray (even a red led )
And glue the led to the diffuser and strengthen it on the corner using heat shrink to support it...
Hi, people....
I think i remember reading somewhere on here that a forum member could supply a genuine rosstech VCDS cable.....(official distributer)?
Was it NHN?
hopefully someone will point me in the right direction.....
Cheers, Phil.
I paid just over £44 for the pair, you may get away without the gasket, mine was ok ....
I presume S3 is the same as 2.0 tfsi....?
valve is 06f 129 101 n
gasket is 06f 103 483 e
easy fix .... just take airbox off and it's looking at you...
Hi, my 2.0 tfsi was doing this the other week, turned out that the pressure control valve was faulty....
Put a new one on and problem was sorted.
i'm sure others will advise, if I'm wrong!

Thanks folks,
new pcv and gasket fitted today.... tickover is now smooth,

Or is it me imagining it?....
thanks for the advice.... Phil :yahoo:
Cheers for the replies folks,

looking for a bit more advice on a 2.0 tfsi...
Been sat on motorway for a couple of hours, get off it and up to a set of lights and stop, and car is ticking over a bit rough, then revs up to 2000 rpm and drops back down to 800 ish...rpm...
stat in and running at 90 degrees, just in time for the coolish weather...
Cheers for the advice folks....
next problem, new thread.... boo hiss:detective2:
Cheers, Lewis and John.... I was thinking stat, but wondered about the electrically controlled stat as vcds was giving an engine outlet temp and radiator outlet temp... guess Lewis has cleared that one up for me!
cheers.
I would think if stat is stuck open allowing full flow then it will be underheating, not requiring fan.
As opposed to overheating and needing fan to cool if flow was restricted....
Unless i'm missing the obvious .....
I shall wait to be shot down in flames!!
then get my coat..........
Thanks, Phil.

climb back up to 90 when stood....
once i'm up to speed again it will drop back to 70...
