hello all, my new (to me) 2016 s3 8v has a post shutdown whirring and beeping noise. sound like something running for aprox 20 seconds,can anyone tell me what this is and is it normal. still learning about this car so expect more questions soon. thanks in advance

i had the same problem.....found it behind the cubby hole panel at the left hand rear of your boot....there is a screw fixing at the top which isnt obvious...undo and pull out the panel and the sticker is stuck inside...hope this helps.

i had a similar issue on my s3 8p....changed the pcv valve which sorted it. i didnt have any backfiring issues but the reving at idle sounds the same...someone on this site suggested a pcv prob so i took a punt and changed it,easy job and not expensive.

hello all, my original 3 button key shell is getting really tatty so i purchased a replacement and cannot get the pcb out of my old casing as it seems to have special fastenings. i cannot find a small enough tool to unscrew these (tiny, like watch screws) and am having difficulty even telling...

one of my rear seat passengers has badly chipped the hard shell on the back of my wingbacks,it looks too big and deep to do any kind of touchup so i think it has to be totally resprayed. can anyone tell me how to remove the shell from the seat...i cant see anything obvious but i will bet i am...

sorry,didnt retain part no....but it is the latest version and is definitly more yellow than the original...purchased from tps if i remember.

thanks...dipstick has been replaced with the new(yellow)version. will inspect the pcv and hoses as soon as it stops raining.

hi to all, i would appreciate any feedback on a glitch in my 2010 s3 sportback which occured yesterday. waiting to pick up some passengers and engine idling normally...then revs increased to aprox 1500 for a few seconds and dropped back....afew seconds later same thing..increased and dropped...

o.k. guys...thanks for your input......i will try a bit of rubber grease as i dont think engine oil will last very long. will recheck in 6months and see if its still lubed.

hello all, just about to fit a new gfb dv+ to my 2010 s3 and the fitting instructions as well as reading this forum recommends lubing the brass piston with engine oil on initial assembly,no problem but my question is ....is this oil going to last or will i have to do this again as a maintenance...
