i have one of these floating around somewhere you have to change the ip address to static and on mine it was put the iphone too 192.168.1.12. and the obd wifi device was automaticaly 192.168.1.10 and port was 35000, know this was posted a long time ago but hope it still helps someone

i had this once with a none audi oem stereo where one of the wires had come off the board which maby just see if the wire or conecter is loose at all, easy fix if you are handy with a soldering iron, worth a look but prob be something else, also crosion on the areal conection

i had problems with vista so went to win 7 when it come out runs alot more smoothly, but as said above try uninstaling useless things and cleaning and defraging the macheen might be a bit more responsive however there always is the option of formating and reinstalling every thing
