A4 B6 What ET are you running?

I'm running Audi A5 17" 'Fan'/7 spokes with an offset of ET28, 7J rim with 235/45/17 tyres (Vredistein Satin touring - which are brilliant in all conditions btw!). Sits flush with bodywork but no scrubbing. Mine's a quattro Sport with B5 perches at the front as well. My old setup was the A5...

What have you done to your A4 b6 today?

That's one good looking steering wheel, but I'm slightly biased. ;) Good to see you got one. Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

What have you done to your A4 b6 today?

I had fun with this myself. My problems were, after fitting a SWCM and cruise were: 1. The coding in the brakes/ABS module needs re-entering as the soft coding is lost in the process. The login/security code took me ages to work out. Are you using a genuine VCDS lead? Have a look at the...

What have you done to your A4 b6 today?

Yep that's right A3 8V airbag on mine and the Mode left hand side button. Completely transforms the cabin and doesn't look out of place. One of the best mods I've gone for as it is the direct link between the driver and the the car. The carbon on yours looks ace, quite jealous! I'd need the...

What have you done to your A4 b6 today?

There are several American forums that report some guys who have carried out that mod have had significant accidents and the airbag system fails to deploy. The airbag controller senses a system fault and disables itself I think. When I fitted mine I checked the measuring blocks in VCDS and the...

What have you done to your A4 b6 today?

Cool, no worries.....for reference, the b7 mfsw has a dual stage airbag that isn't compatible with your single stage airbag controller. There might be one off another model that is though. Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

Let me know if you want the part numbers to fit a newest generation mfsw with a correct airbag for your b6...... [emoji6]

Pain in the posterior or not too hard? Is that out of an S4? Looks good! Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

Any idea if you can do this with an Avant? Looks ace! Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

Audi A4 B6 full brake upgrade

Upgraded mine to the S4 setup, coming from the 1.9's 288mm, 345mm is a monster jump. The new rears are bigger than my original fronts!!!!!! Huge difference in stopping power, and they soak up loads of abuse! I stared off with EBC ultimax discs and pads, but the pads were a bit woolly from...

    Retro Cruise Control 1.8T Auto

It's free to download from ross-tech website. The cost is the ross-tech OBDII cable as the licence is built into the hardware/circuit board. Hence you can use a cheap eBay vcds leads with the vcds software but many of the higher functions and coding are disabled without a genuine cable.

    Retro Cruise Control 1.8T Auto

No worries! Oh I don't know about cabs, quite possibly different altogether! All I remember was somewhere in the instruction guides/forums quite a few guys reported that by upgrading the SWCM/CC they suddenly got a weird error because the washer sensor was not installed .....I think. It...

    Retro Cruise Control 1.8T Auto

I completed the CC retrofit last month (and a MFSW too, but that's another story). From the research I did, you will need a specific revision steering wheel control module (SWCM) to support cruise, see here (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Cruise_Control_Retrofitting_(8E)), or as...

What have you done to your A4 b6 today?

Yep, LEDs are diodes and are polarised. The cathode (negative) is usually the larger semi triangular element inside the clear lens/encapsulation.

    The Icarus thread

After collecting parts over the last month or so I've finally got around to fitting an A4/A5 steering wheel and cruise control. Single stage airbag compatible with my airbag controller (according to a friendly Audi tech). Went from this: To this:

    b7 steering wheel

What you need is one of these......which I fitted today. Single stage and fractionally smaller than the OEM sport wheel.

Looking good! Michelin PS3s are one of the best tyres I have ever used, excellent in wet and dry. Very low noise/rumble too, compared to the Pirelli P7s on my 'winter' 17's. Only sting is the cost, but it seems you get what you pay for!

Lovely colour that! Don't see many about in that colour with the vortex too!

Nope, offset is ET29 so they are perfect in my opinion. I have a set I took off my car a month ago, fitted with 225/45/18 Michelin PS3s so the rolling radius is identical to OEM spec and no rubbing. Little curbed and in anthracite but was looking to eBay them unless you are interested first? Rob

What have you done to your A4 b6 today?

Had a bit of a dabble with some badging I've had in the garage for a few months......gave the car a clean then added this......might be a bit much/Marmite. Can always strip it off if I change my mind: Inspired by:
