3l 245 Avant: on my summer wheels (255/35/20 OEM Pirelli) crusing at 75-80 will return 45-48 depending on the temperature;
On the winter rubber (225/55/17 Michelin Alpine 5s) doing the same, I can push it past 50.
Both done in Auto mode...
Town driving, it is mid 30s.

This might be down to the cold weather (I can always see the drop on my 3.0)...
On the other hand I usually go 1 full tank of Nitro+ then one of the regular diesel from Esso. Never noticed anything different.

I have never experienced any problems (changed batteries in both fobs several times).
As long as you don't leave it overnight I guess, you should be ok... ;)

So, I'd start with this: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301929477886 and probably this:

Not sure tho if the first item is a direct replacement for the ones on your bumper...

Not entirely correct. Pre FL SE cars have good old fashioned fog lights. Hence, this should be OP's starting point for research...

On my 13reg 3.0tdi it is flawless from the day one. Not sure however if the unit in the 2.0 is the same... Nonetheless, whatever you do, check that it had its oil done every 38k...

I received a very similar offer and will definitely go for it. BTW haven't got anything re Audi assistance. Where/how do you do that?

Feel I need to qualify this statement a bit further: this is the case for the UK market; not sure if there were differences elsewhere.

"Not quite - the pre-facelift 245TDI's used the ZF (tiptronic), but the later models use the Steptronic/S-tronic (DSG)."
Err, nope... 245 (pre-facelift) comes with the STronic 7 speed box. Happily running mine so no confusions there...

Wheels from eBay.at (.de is also popular but I find prices being better in Austria). You might want to choose the season carefully (it should be ok now) as they flood it with good wheels once the massive swap to winters start. For tyres - Oponeo is my favourite place. It seems that pound...
For far less than that money (£800), I got a full set of mint original 20" S6 speedlines from Austria... Additional £520 gets you the factory fit PZeros. So, why settle for the first option?

My 245 avant hasn't missed a bit since new (13 reg). You can push it past 50mpg if drive like a granny and yet I managed 157 MPH on Autobahn... :D
Fully laden (4 people plus all you need for a month worth of hols) it still shifts as a daemon. We did cross continent several times.
Just make sure...
Big factor would be a gearbox as well! 2012 2.0 auto is multi vs s-tronic on 245 or tiptronic on 313. So, make sure you know what you're going for.
BTW 3.0 245 can easily match mpg figures of 2.0... and this was my exact choice. :)

Thanks guys. My initial idea was to "free things up" and derestrict the flow. Not a big fan of adding the artificial noise when the V6 itself is capable of doing a cracking job. Will explore the route of local specialists to see if they can fabricate something...
