So had a chance to borrow a ramp this morning so lowering commenced!
I was sweating by the time I took the wheels off 30 degrees is not the temperature to fit suspension in!
Much swearing resulted in this
then this
and finally this so ill see how it settles
Oh yeah I forgot I had Ben from MAS Performance remap the car to his stage one map. This has absolutely transformed the car it actually feels turbo'd now. The car picks up and pulls now instead and you can actually enjoy B roads just need to sort out the exhaust now to free it up a little more...
Not a very constructive weekend as the sun was blazing and I thought stuff it im off to a beer garden.
Managed to swap my knackered snub mount with a fresh one which I then filled with polyurethane to stiffen it up.
Then I fitted a new wheel to freshen up the interior as I HATED the standard...
This weekends projects
Couldn't decide on a steering wheel so I moved away from oem and bought something I used on numerous jap cars and went with a nardi deepcorn wheel.
Coilovers go on sat morning so that should cure my illegal ride height. Got a couple of fresh tyres for the front so all 4...
But you've got twin upper arms so you'd have to have both arms adjustable else you'd throw the toe out.
Best solution surely would be an off set top mounting of some description or offset poly bushes in the the control arms
Had a bit of a flat spot that was annoying me and the car didn't feel very lively at all so tonight it fitted a set of coil packs and a new MAF.
Car drives sooo much better and crisper.

I'll pull the door to pieces and go from there.
Just thought i'd post this up in case anyone else was suffering for the same issue.

There genuine audi, i got mine from one of my customers as a freebie that he'd had kicking about. I put mine over my original trims, i had to use a hose clamp to increase the external size of the original trim.
I'll take some pics when i get a sec of the installation.
Had half an hour tonight so fitted these, not quite slip on but not much imagination needed.
Reckon they look alright, certainly taken my eye away from the standard tailpipes. Slinepete ill keep you in mind when I actually put an exhaust on the car.
One of my customers has just given me these 8K0 071 762 ( partnumber for the set) , just wondered if anyone had fitted them on a B6 as i might chuck them on as a tempory measure until i get a exhaust made up just to freshen up the rear end. I hate the standard exhaust as there so tiny in the...
The noise you heard is turbo stall basically the throttle shutting and the all the air in the intake bouncing off the turbine blades. To be honest even though this is meant to be the end of the world according to every forum you go on, Cossies never ran dump valves and all the 200sx's i used to...
