Garage can't prove what the fault is

Hi Davey, well I'm no mechanic but I believe on this A3 2011 plate the egr is positioned in the most stupidly difficult place imaginable. Right at the back of the engine behind various pipe work. And for a part that has a high failure rate part it makes me wonder what Audi engineers were smoking...

Garage can't prove what the fault is

Took my car for a diagnostics this morning and they had a fault code EGR position sensor error, the the garage can't be sure if it is the egr valve though. The car drives fine for a few miles then the coil light blinks and the car goes into limp mode until its stopped and started again. The car...

No dpf regen light was on. Forgot to mention that with the GLOW PLUG coil light flashing I initially thought it was a dpf regen then remembered the regen light is different.

Hi Everyone, Here's what happened. I took the car out and after a few miles I notices the coil light blinking, and worse still the car went into limp mode. After stopping for 5 mins I restarted the car and everything was ok, no blinking coil light, no limp mode, car was running normal all the...

Letting the engine idle for a bit before switching off

If you need to idle a turbo before you STOP the engine, then I see a BIG problem. Picture this, you are coming off a motorway, onto the slip road into a queue of traffic having been on a long run. You come to a stop and the STOP/START Technology in your car kicks in and stops your engine dead as...
