Hi guys.
Just wanted to pick your brains here.
A family member who lives in London had a timing belt replaced recently that led to a failure.
It was on a common rail VW engine.
Turns out that the wrong belt was supplied - ie - it was the correct number of teeth but 5mm narrower, which caused...
Hi guys.
Does anyone know what the Audi part number for these undertray clips is?
It's a 2009 2.0TDi coupe.
There are 11 altogether that hold on the undertray that you take off to access the sump.
There are 8 along the outside and 3 along the back.
It's the part number for the 3 along...
The only cosmetic thing I'd change on my pre-facelift 2009 A5 Quattro S-Line coupe would be the rather bland looking grille.
Question is; what are the options?
Don't really want to go aftermarket unless I had to.
Any thoughts?
You might want to get the MAF sensor values checked and also check for boost leaks.
I'd recommend adding a bottle of Wynn's diesel clean 3 to half a tank of diesel too and giving it a good revving whilst it's in.
Your injectors / EGR / DPF etc could be coked up. I know there's only 2000 miles on...
Ok chaps.
Fitted a set of Eibach pro kit springs yesterday.
The springs may need to settle a bit but the front end is too high compared to the rear for my liking.
The rear is almost too low.
Would it be a complete no no to refit the standard rear springs whilst keeping the Eibachs in the...
I'd like to drop my S line 2009 A5 slightly but am not sure which springs to go for.
It sits up at the front more so ideally I'd like a drop of around 20mm on the back and 30mm on the front.
The car has 20" wheels with 20mm rear spacers and 12mm front spacers.
Any suggestions?
255/35/20 would have a sidewall depth of 89.25mm so may be a happy medium.
Some of that extra comfort may be lost though due to the tyre being slightly stretched on the wheel.
Opinions?
Anyone fitted 265/35/20s to an A5 (as opposed to the standard 265/30/20s)?
I know it will affect the speedo slightly but would there be any drawbacks?
I calculate the sidewall height difference to be 79.5mm (30s) vs 92.75mm (35s).
Well guys, bought the car on Friday and am over the moon with it.
Couple of questions:
it's an s-line with the 20" wheels. I was considering getting a full set of Eibach hubcentric spacers and elongated bolts.
What is considered the deepest spacer you can fit to these without rubbing?
Also...
Cheers Grant.
The wheels are definitely genuine Audi wheels.
The badges are a bit odd. I must ask if I can remove them with a little heat to see if they're hiding anything.
As for the colour match, I think it's just the picture. Looks perfect in the flesh.
