Selling car - Need some advice please

Webuyanycar.com are extremely far from bang on the money! They are currently under investigation by the media for hard bargaining by giving you one price online then knocking hundreds or even thousands off that price when you get to the dealer for extremely minor points like faded leather etc...

    RNS-E + BOSE = spilt eardrums

Thanks for the advice, I'll adjust the pins and get it coded next time its in with my fixer.

    RNS-E + BOSE = spilt eardrums

Everything that I unplugged from the Symphony got plugged into the RNS-E (in addition to the GPS receiver), theres a little volume variation between radio stations but the satnav chick is seriously loud.

    RNS-E + BOSE = spilt eardrums

Its a 2012 RNSE that has been working fine, Plug-n-play with no dramas apart form the volume. Didn't realise there was a Bose specific cable, what would that connect into? The only other thing that I thought the RNS-E needed was the GPS antenna which is now stuck under my dash.

    RNS-E + BOSE = spilt eardrums

That doesn't turn Her down, just the radio volume.

    RNS-E + BOSE = spilt eardrums

On my iPhone app it is reading at 95 decibels which is just less than a chainsaw! I'll try adjusting all the treble etc down but the normal radio volume doesn't affect the Nav voice. Thanks

    RNS-E + BOSE = spilt eardrums

Popped a RNS-E into my car and with the Bose sound system it is DEAFENING, and not in a good way, the chick from the Satnav voice is breaking me. I've tried going through the system to turn down the volume but its on its lowest settings, if I were to plug it into VCDS will I be able to turn it...

    CALLING ALL RNS-E OWNERS/POTENTIAL OWNERS

I have to agree and, having seen the error of trying use ASN for the benefit of its users, I will bow out of the thread. My windows are getting security filmed on monday instead.

    CALLING ALL RNS-E OWNERS/POTENTIAL OWNERS

I don't fancy replacing my dashboard when, as already posted on the RNS-E theft thread, the thieves use crowbars to get the unit out!

    CALLING ALL RNS-E OWNERS/POTENTIAL OWNERS

Not really, the 'face' of a Symphony head unit can vary between 5-15mm wide depending on age, which as the existing RNS-E sits flush to the dashboard could only protrude out away from the dashboard. It would also not fit over the existing RNS-E dials The back of the head unit would likely...

    CALLING ALL RNS-E OWNERS/POTENTIAL OWNERS

Quite apart from the fact that the head unit won't have legs to slot into the keyholes and will therefore need another method of attachment, it will protrude out from the centre console by a considerable amount and look just like a head unit thats been stuck onto another unit underneath.

    CALLING ALL RNS-E OWNERS/POTENTIAL OWNERS

I disagree, and thanks for your opinion, but if you don't have a RNS-E and aren't planning on getting one, please stay off this thread. The likelihood of this affecting you is minimal in terms of being broken into and I don't have to have your consent for the project!

    CALLING ALL RNS-E OWNERS/POTENTIAL OWNERS

I'd have to disagree, the idea of protective covers has already been floated on this forum, just no one has picked it up and run with it. ASN is not the largest communities, and while criminals may use it to identify potential targets, if I was to sell these then it would be through a variety of...

    CALLING ALL RNS-E OWNERS/POTENTIAL OWNERS

I know, the problem being that re-tooling machines is an expensive business, so the cost per unit ratio for low order numbers is unappealing at the consumer end.

    CALLING ALL RNS-E OWNERS/POTENTIAL OWNERS

Its just an idea at the moment, but need to explore the potential market before going ahead with it! It would just plug into the four key holes and sit over the RNS-E, no faff involved for the customer. A sticker may not deter a thief who would just have to walk around the vehicle to look into...

    CALLING ALL RNS-E OWNERS/POTENTIAL OWNERS

Hi, As a new RNS-E owner who has read the Theft thread, I'm understandably a little paranoid now about where I park my car. Many people have suggested buying protective covers, but none are available on the market. I've made some enquires to various custom plastics companies and would now like...

    Headlight confusion :(

Yes, but not LED ones. The ones pictured are these And you're thinking of these: Which close up look like this: The second ones are the ones your man has 'upgraded' to. Simples. Edited to add, no idea if they'll fit your car or not.

15Degrees-North S3 turbo Race Car build

This thread is definitely NSFW, I've been bagage at work all week because of reading this thread! I may be new to ASN but this is as close to car porn as I've ever seen.
